Of course, a great adventure like this also requires some good preparation. That's why we have prepared our Online Academy with lots of content about au pair life especially for au pairs. To help you get off to a good start in your au pair year, our American AuPairCare team will welcome you in the coolest city of the United States: New York City.

Online Academy

Before you take off and after you have matched with your host family, you will get access to our Online Academy. The content of the academy is tailored to you and your host family. You will learn a lot about the American culture, childcare and your au pair life. You can take and complete the courses as it fits in your daily routine.

Good to know:

The Online Academy must be successfully completed at least one week prior to your arrival in the U.S. in order for you to be approved to start your program.

Interactive Webinars

You will participate in live webinars together with other au pairs. The dates for the webinars are published every month and you can decide for yourself which dates work best for you.

  • You will participate in a total of 2 webinars.

  • You can ask your questions directly and communicate with our webinar staff.

  • To successfully pass the webinar, you must be present for the entire time and your camera must be turned on.

Online Courses

Our online courses are not live and you can attend them at any time. Please make sure to complete it on a computer or laptop, because some interactive elements don't work on mobile devices.

  • You will be involved in the seminar through interactive modules. Please make sure to click and read through everything so you don't miss any important content.

  • Short quizzes will help you internalize the contents.

Support

During the whole time you are supported in completing the academy

  • Our Academy team will guide you through your courses and answer any questions you may have.

  • You will find a suggested schedule in the academy to help you finish everything on time.

APC Connect

AuPairCare Connect is a great way to start your new life abroad with other au pairs. Before arriving at your host family, you will spend 2 days in New York City and get settled with other au pairs from around the world.
